Ian Cornell is a risk management professional currently serving as a director of risk management for Capital One improving its business processes and mitigating risks to protect the enterprise and its customers. Prior to that, he was a senior leader in the US government, serving as the chief intelligence officer for the FBI in Newark, New Jersey, where he focused on anticipating future risks and positioning the FBI and its partners to mitigate those risks in order to protect American citizens and organizations. He specializes in strategy development, analytics, leadership, and risk management.
Prior to his current career, Ian was an Americorps volunteer in Atlanta, working with community leaders and nonprofit CEOs to address local environmental challenges, as well as provide science education to middle-school students. He holds an MBA from Rutgers University and a bachelor’s in Biology from the College of William and Mary.
