The 1.5-Degree Celsius Crisis: An Urgent Call for Climate Leadership
We stand on the brink of a climate crisis unparalleled in history. The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) delivered a chilling fact just yesterday: a 66% likelihood of breaching the 1.5-degree Celsius global warming threshold by 2027. This critical milestone, though potentially temporary, marks an alarming first in our climate change journey.
Transforming Over 10,000 Ghanaian Enterprises
In collaboration with Pyxera Global, the Mastercard Foundation initiated the MSME COVID-19 Recovery and Resilience Program (CRRP) in Ghana to tackle the economic repercussions of COVID-19 on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The program aimed to boost Ghana’s economy by fortifying the MSME network and enhancing MSMEs’ capacity to revitalize, maintain, and expand their ventures.
Creating a Lasting Impact on Health Inequities
Formed in 2015, the 3M/Pyxera Global partnership grew from a pilot program to a cutting-edge leadership development experience that builds employee, community, and entrepreneurial resilience around the globe. Over 200 employees have gone through the 3M Impact experience—contributing 24,000 hours to 60 host organizations in 15 countries.
Closing the Gap in Economic Equity with Global Pro Bono
In response to the social justice movement, we partnered with SAP on their Pro Bono for Economic Equity project. The goal was to address the disproportionately negative impact of COVID-19 on people of color. For six weeks, teams of SAP employees worked virtually with Black entrepreneurs worldwide with remarkable success.
Reimagining Community Health Systems
COVID-19 pushed education, health care, transportation, and society’s patience past their limits. Pyxera Global saw this situation as an opportunity to develop breakthrough solutions for multiple challenges. Working with other corporate and nonprofit leaders, the Reimagine Series’ first challenge addressed the accessibility of telehealth within community health systems.
Global Pro Bono LEAD
In the early 2000s, Pyxera Global began partnering with companies to design, facilitate, and measure the impact of Global Pro Bono programs. Today, more than 25 unique GPB programs help share best practices, distribute lessons learned, and to encourage innovation amongst companies across seven business sectors.
