Pyxera Global Welcomes Three Distinguished Leaders to its Board of Directors

WASHINGTON, DC (January 30, 2025)—Pyxera Global announced the appointment of three new members to our board of directors: Mona Dajani, Shanak Patnaik, and Ashraf Shihabi. With our programs convening hundreds of partner organizations in dozens of countries, these appointments strengthen our governance at a critical time of growth and innovation for cross-sector collaborations and amidst unprecedented global uncertainty.

“I am thrilled to welcome these exceptional leaders to our Board of Directors,” said Deirdre White, CEO of Pyxera Global. “Their diverse perspectives and expertise will be invaluable as we expand our work with communities and companies around the world to create sustainable, equitable, and resilient solutions for addressing urgent global challenges.”

Mona Dajani joins the board as a recognized leader in project finance for sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy. As a partner and the Global Co-Chair of the Energy, Infrastructure and Hydrogen teams and Co-Chair of the Baker Botts Energy Sector worldwide, she brings over 25 years of experience in project finance and development. Her deep understanding of ESG initiatives and experience in managing complex cross-sector partnerships will be a powerful asset for Pyxera Global’s work in circularity and regeneration.

Shanak “Nick” Patnaik, Deputy Chief Compliance Officer at Schroder Investment Management North America since 2012, brings extensive experience in regulatory compliance and financial governance. His background in developing compliance frameworks and managing relationships with regulators will strengthen Pyxera Global’s oversight as it continues to expand its global partnerships and innovative funding models.

Ashraf Shihabi, who now serves as Chair of the Audit Committee, brings over 25 years of experience in audit, consulting, and risk advisory in both the federal and commercial sectors. His success leading performance audits and consulting projects, particularly in regulated industries and federal entities, will be crucial as Pyxera Global continues to scale its impact through diverse funding streams and complex multi-stakeholder initiatives.

“The light, energy, and dedication of people like Mona, Nick, and Ashraf are what make this organization so extraordinary,” added White, “and I appreciate the continued leadership and support of the entire Board of Directors as we advance Pyxera Global’s mission together.”

All three new directors will serve initial terms through December 31, 2027.

They join board members Lynne Weil, Helen Lowman, Ladan Manteghi, Peg Willingham, James Calvin, Tim Prewitt, Jennifer Parker, Ian Cornell, Guillermo Areas, Isabel Hill, Barbara Lang, and CEO Deirdre White.
